I'm sorry but I can't give this a passing grade. If you're going to make a slideshow rather than animate something that's fine, but you'll have to have better drawn slides otherwise it's not enjoyable. I get the gist of the story, but half the time I can't tell what I'm seeing.
As for the play issue: there are some Youtube videos explaining how to make a "button symbol" and a short bit of code to type in the "actions" tab to get it running.

Senmetsu responds:

I had animation, it was slight, but it was there.

I found it enjoyable... I'm glad you get the gist of the story, that's something most other people never got for some reason. It's fairly simple: life goes on. People change, things grow and are unique in their sameness.

"button symbol", eh? Thanks! Now I know how to fix the fluidity with my flash.

|:( "sigh"

This is his best work? So sad. . . . Such poor quality. The mouth of the duck doesn't even stop moving after it's dead. Unfortunately I have a feeling it's going to pass judgement anyway. Too many overly polite newgrounds members.

FullMoonClock responds:

The Duck was not dead, it was just in horrible pain. But it died at the end. Thanks (?) for the review.

O_O

The old man is like: "This page is too heavy for me. . . . Thanks, I have no further use for you. Now you may DIE."
Of course sooner or later he'll need someone to turn the next page.

Horsenwelles responds:

closer to the actual central idea behind it, just don't write it like a CDI joke.

i'm still not explaining any of the many underlying themes based on it.

Nothing much

Sure that was a funny scene, but you didn't write it. So you shouldn't get credit for it. All there is to this animation was a mouth blinking on and off, and a little cheesy photoshop.

Darwin7 responds:

I did write it. In analyze this Robert De Niros character doesn't turn into Osama Bin Laden. This cartoon is obviously over your head

It's Ok, but you could have done more.

Good choice of music, but I was left wanting.
I would like to see more movement. This unfortunately felt more like a slideshow rather than animation, sorry.
I did like how Link's hat fluttered in the wind.
I would also like to say, this is one of my most favorite songs from Legend of Zelda.

Quazaar responds:

Thank you for the review! You are right it does need some more movement. I would like to make a second version with some rustling of the trees and maybe a few more scenes.

This one really made me laugh.

I'm usually very critical on drawing detail, but I though the whole crayon look really fit well with the story. I thought it was funny how the hero destroyed more than he saved. The name "Dr. Distasteful" was a nice touch. If you see a need to improve the animation by all means do so--just make sure to keep the simple, hand-drawn artwork.

Nick-The-Holy-Potato responds:

Thanks!
